Hi, my name is Timothy Kwong, in 2021 I completed my MS in Health Care Informatics (HCI) at the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA.
I have been working in the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) as an Exercise Physiologist for the last five years. With CR having a large focus on preventative care and healthcare maintenance I have come to understand the need for HCI in delivering better care and attention to underserved communities.
Within the ePortfolio I am featuring coursework that highlights some of the areas that I was able to learn about standards needed to understand the needs within the HCI field. We looked at areas of quality and regulatory standards, leadership, systems management, data management, systems design. Having the ability to understand these areas of HCI helped me realize where I want my career to be and and future professional development to continue to grow and have the impact I want on the healthcare community.
